Kids and families in County Durham can get creative at their local library over the coming weeks at a series of art and crafts sessions.
Artist Vicky Holbrough will be encouraging people to take inspiration from the great outdoors to create a wire bird sculpture using coloured wires, glass beads and drift wood.
Sessions, aimed at children aged eight years and older, take place on the following dates:
There’s also a chance to create a lino print artwork at sessions run by artists from North East-based MBC Ceramics. Suitable for all the family, the sessions will see participants taking photographs of nearby sights, colours and textures before creating lino cuts to use for printing.
Sessions take place from 10am to 12noon on the following date at Aycliffe.
• Saturday, 14 July – Newton Aycliffe Library
All sessions cost £1 per person. For more information, visit www.durham.gov.uk/libraries
