After purchasing three Gala Lillies from a local supermarket I have an infestation of a flying insect which is similar to a ladybird,
It is bright red and very shiny and on futher investigation this insect is a Scarlet Lily Beetle and is found abroard and in the south of England. On futher reading about this beetle I found out it can destroy and decimate Lilies and plants in a garden. Everyday I have to look for the beetle and its eggs left under leaves. I don’t usualy use insecticide, but will now have too.
