Dear Sir,

It is with disgust I read in your very illustrious Newton News that our greedy County Council are increasing the annual fee to empty the garden bin in 2018 to £30.

Not only are they increasing the fee in 2018 but have kindly told us that it will be increasing to £35 in 2019. I look upon this as a form of recycling, because the greedy Council make money from selling the recycled garden waste in the form of compost.

How do they justify these two increases when they keep begging us to recycle as much as possible and not send it to landfill?

The only logical conclusion I can think of is that the Council want this service to become too expensive to us to continue so they can say we turned down the service offered.

As you can guess from my tone I will not be paying the Council to get rid of my garden waste in the future, it will be bagged and put into the rubbish for landfill.
