Spectrum Roller Skating Club’s Jazzmyn Loring was placed 8th in the country at The British Championships (Tot’s Solo Dance) held at The Dolphin Centre, Haywards Heath, 12th May 2018.

Jazzmyn (8) is the first ever skater from the club to attend The British Championships and we are very proud of her and all that she has achieved. Jazzmyn trains at Shildon Sunnydale Leisure Centre with Spectrum Roller Skating Club on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. She has worked so hard and her dedication has paid off.

Tracy Stevens – Coachsaid: “I am very proud of Jazzmyn who started roller skating lessons aged 4. It is such a massive achievement to represent the club at this level and to come 8th is fantastic!” Jazzmyn performed two dances – Glide Waltz and Skaters March which are set steps to music and competed against people from all over the country.

Jazzmyn took part in the opening ceremony where the National Anthem was played and she received a pin badge from The National Governing Body to commemorate the 2018 British Championships.

“I was so proud to watch Jazzmyn skate out on to the floor at the opening ceremony representing our club from the North East at such a prestigious event. The club has been running now for 4 years and I am so pleased with everything we have achieved so far.”

Jazzmyn will be representing the club again next month at The British Championships (Tots Figures and Free) held at Kettering.
