Dear Sir,

Given the Covid-19 and Tier 2 Restrictions, I do not believe the Fun Fair planned by the Town Centre owners should go ahead this year.

The Remembrance Parade this year is cancelled because of these restrictions and I fail to see how those same restrictions do not apply to a Fun Fair.

Indeed the Car Park opposite the Bewick Crescent Surgery should never be used for this purpose. It is far too close to the residents of Isherwood Close and the levels of noise and intrusion is unreasonable and it is not good PR for the Town Centre owners.

There are plenty of other venues in Great Aycliffe more suitable which the Town Centre Owners could use but 50 yards from a residential street is not one of them. It is inappropriate this year due to Covid, but also in any year. The County Council Environmental Services should stop this event from occurring so close to residents on noise grounds alone.

But Covid-19 and Tier 2 must surely stop this and I ask the Town Centre owners to think again.
