Dear Sir,

I wish to complain about poor quality fuel from Tesco being the cause of my daughter’s car breaking down on the motorway and there is proof from a garage that this was the case.

I complained to Tesco and received a reply stating their fuel is checked regularly and that they were not at fault. I have since spoken to the customer service manager who more or less said the same thing. I have now asked to speak to someone higher up and I am awaiting a telephone call from the Claims Manager on this matter.

Tesco is such a huge company with profits in excess of millions and no apology or refund was offered in way of compensation for the distress caused to my daughter.  She lost her shift off work in Newcastle and as a student the £150 breakdown cost is a lot of money.

I feel more people should know that their cars breaking down could be due to the poor quality of fuel from Tesco and would be pleased to hear of similar occurrences.
