Thinking of something to do with the kids, that doesn’t cost? Why not come along to the weekly ‘Colour your Life’ art sessions at the Pioneering Care Centre in Newton Aycliffe? It’s always buzzing with creative activity for all ages.

The Pioneering Care Partnership have organised weekly family sessions encouraging all ages to get creative. The classes are packed with easy, fun projects and activities such as painting, sculpture, graffiti and dance, allowing youngsters express them-selves in a variety of ways.

The times during the school holidays are: Tuesdays 13th August 1-3pm; 20th August 10-12 noon and 27th August 1-3pm.

The family sessions take place during school term time every Tuesday 3.30 – 5.30pm and are free for the first 8 sessions. If families continue to come after these sessions a small donation is requested to help towards materials. Children attending must be under 11 years old’ accompanied by an adult.

Colour your Life for adults also takes place every week at the Pioneering Care Centre on Mondays 10am-12pm and 1-3pm and Tuesdays 6-8pm. These mixed arts activities welcomes people who would like to learn a new craft from professional artists who are working in the marketplace today. Plus all classes take place in pleasant surroundings and give everyone the chance to learn new skills, make new friends and relax in a friendly atmosphere. No artistic experience necessary!

‘Colour your Life’ is an Arts on Prescription project funded through the NHS and delivered through the Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP) in Newton Aycliffe. It aims to provide access to the arts to promote positive mental health and wellbeing amongst participants.
