Michael Scott, a member of staff at 1407 (Newton Aycliffe) Squadron Air Cadets, has recently graduated from his Initial Officer’s Course at RAF Cranwell.
The five day course taught leadership, communication skills and squadron management. Having completed the course, Michael now holds the rank of Pilot Officer in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserves (Training). On the squadron he is the adjutant; doing lots of the paper work and assisting the Commanding Officer.
1407 Squadron has around 35 enrolled cadets. We are always looking for staff to help deliver the varied and exciting range of activities to the cadets.
If you’d like to help the young people in your community, whether teaching on a parade night, being part of the squadron committee or going in to uniform like Michael then get in touch. Visit our website for details: www.1407aircadets.org
