Foodbank celebrates its 6th year at St. Clare’s Church- so what better time to for Parish Youth to pay them a visit. #proudaspunch Parish Youth took time out of their holiday’s to volunteer at the Foodbank. Helping to collect donated food, check it in, weigh it out and pack bags – they really are amazing young people. They learnt about stock rotation and took time to listen to how other agencies can help those who rely on this valuable community organisation. Unbelievably we discovered that today was also the Foodbank at St. Clare’s 6th Birthday and it was great that Peter from Durham Christian Partnership came along to say hello to the young people. Great work kids.

With recent changes of staffing for the Foodbank it is asking for any who would like to volunteer for this community work to come forward and you will be made most welcome. It is always great to grow a team where everyone has a part to play. So why not drop in on a Wednesday or Friday just before opening at 1.30pm or closing at 3.30pm and meet co-ordinator Catherine and the team .

PLEASE NOTE THESE ARE THE CORRECT TIMES AND CONTACTS FOR THE FOODBANK – not those stated in last week’s issue.
