Funded by Aycliffe West County Councillors Eddy Adam and Kate Hopper, the installation of two flower beds on Williamfield Way offer a welcoming outlook to residents and visitors alike. Constructed and initially planted by DCC, the beds will be managed by Great Aycliffe Town Council on an annual basis.
Kate and Eddy continue to work within a partnership involving local community groups; social housing provider livin; GAMP, and the local Neighbourhood Police and the DCC Neighbourhood Warden teams to investigate practicable solutions which will improve the general appearance of both the built and managed environment; expand the range of locally-delivered activities, and exploring measures to reduce instances of sporadic antisocial behaviour in the locality.
Aycliffe West is a pleasant, harmonious and safe place to live. Let’s all work together to keep it that way.
