Five Acres Community Garden held their ‘Party in the Park’ event on Saturday 21st August, due to the inclement weather most of the stalls were moved inside ROF59 function room and restaurant.
This first event by Five Acres was a roaring success raising over £1000 with other donations still being received, such as £100 from All Disabilities Matter.
Five Acres manager, Donna Martin, said “Even though the weather forced most of our stalls inside, the turnout from local residents was amazing and their generosity overwhelming. We would like to thank all the wonderful stall holders, Macadam School of Dance and K9 Pursuit for performing at the event.”
Five Acres are currently in the process of planning a Christmas Market, watch Newton News for more details.
