Viper MMA owner Mark Reay will put on his first show in his home town, it will be Marks seventh show, but the first one of its kind in Newton Aycliffe.
The event, “Last Man Standing” will be held at the OakLeaf Sports Complex on Saturday 6th October and will feature fighters from all over Europe. The main event will see local north east fighter Tim Close return to the cage after two years away.
Mark has run his gym on the Business Park for 6 years and says “this is the ideal way to showcase my fighters skills. We have guys that fight in the top shows around the UK and Europe, but nothing beats the buzz and atmosphere of fighting in front of 600 people in your home town.”
Mark would also like to give a special thank you to Marvin Ryder and all the regulars at the gym.
We would like to open MMA (mixed martial arts) to people that might not have even thought of it before and show them it’s a very skilled martial art in itself.
