Newton Aycliffe Karate Club held its first gradings at its new dojo. NAKC moved to Newton Aycliffe Youth and Community Centre fully in April. The centre is a fantastic location with great facilities and friendly staff. 11 students passed their gradings on Thursday night in order to get their new belts they undertook a challenging syllabus under the watchful eyes of a panel of the clubs black belt Instructors. Congratulations to all who passed. Alastair and Imogen, fifth Mon yellow tag; Lexi, 4th Mon two yellow tags; Joshua, Jamie, Robert and Theo (Triple graded), second Mon two orange tags; Jake (Double graded) and Katie 7th kyu orange belt; Robin, 6th kyu green belt and Laura, 5th kyu blue belt.

The family friendly club offers discipline, fitness and improved self confidence whilst at the same time learning a practical martial art. Training is on Tuesdays at 7pm and Thursdays and 6.30pm. All welcome from 6 years upwards. Instructors are registered with the British Combat Karate Association and are DBS checked and fully insured. First introductory lesson is free and as we are a not for profit club we keep fees to a minimum.
