The “Feel Good Film Show” at St Clare’s Church on Tuesday 12th April will feature the drama “Sky West and Crooked” starring Hayley Mills, directed by her Father John Mills and co-written by her Mother, Mary Hayley-Bell. It also stars Ian McShane, Annette Crosby and Laurence Naismith.
This 1965 drama has Hayley Mills at her most appealing as a young country girl. Years after a tragic shooting accident she is a traumatised free spirit, happiest with the village children and their unusual pastime. Then enter the handsome gypsy boy, Ian McShane!
It is a beautiful British film with wonderful British actors; poignant, sad, funny, warm, feel-good.
Tea and coffee will be served at 1pm, included in the £2, and the film starts at 1.15pm. A variety of chairs are provided for your comfort – and tables so that you can bring a spot of lunch to eat while you enjoy a great film in friendly company.
Everyone is most welcome. For further details ring Ric Hargreaves 01325 316755.
