Students at Greenfield Community College have been continuing to rise to learning challenges throughout the year. Although teaching and learning will continue until the end of the academic term students are also finding time to bring a sense of festivity both to themselves, their peers and the wider community.

Students are busy preparing for a Festive Arts Platform to be shared virtually. We are looking forward to sharing the creativity and talent of our students and virtually bringing our community together. The school has also had a lovely opportunity to be part of Shildon’s online Advent calendar, watch out for Greenfield’s contribution on Shildon Town Council’s Facebook page.

The Greenfield community have also given their own time, money and energy to once again be part of the wonderful shoe box appeal. The appeal means that more much needed gifts will find their way to young people across the community. Councillor Gerald Lee, who organises the appeal, was delighted with the response and the generosity of spirit from all involved.

There will also be festive activities throughout the school and a wonderful Christmas lunch, provided by our dedicated catering staff and lunchtime team, which is sure to big hit with students and staff!

The school would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our community a safe, secure and happy Christmas.

Greenfield Community College are committed to supporting students to reach their full potential. The school promotes an inclusive curriculum encouraging students to work together to realise an outstanding learning experience.
