“AMISH GRACE”

The “Feel Good Film Show” at St Clare’s Church on Tuesday 12th June features the fact-based drama “AMISH GRACE” starring Kimberly Williams-Paisley. In 2006 a man took 10 young Amish girls hostage in a school at West Nickel Mines, Pennsylvania. The horror that followed was flashed around the world, but it was the reaction of the Amish community that stunned everyone. Their reaction was to forgive almost immediately, or at least most could forgive. One bereaved mother found it agonisingly difficult.

Feel Good Film? I’ve seen it twice and wept most of the way through, and will again this time, I have no doubt. It is, though, one of the most memorable films I’ve ever seen, it made me think about forgiveness all over again and differently. I do hope that many will come to see it. EVERYONE IS WELCOME

Tea and coffee are served at 1pm, included in the £2, and the film starts at 1.15pm. A variety of chairs are provided for your comfort, and tables so that you can bring a spot of lunch to eat while you enjoy a great film in friendly company. For further details ring Ric Hargreaves 01325 316755.
