This weekend sees the return of the popular Family Learning Day at Woodham Academy. Parents of year 5 students from across Newton Aycliffe and surrounding areas are invited to come and take part in a range of activities aimed at combining fun and learning for the whole family.
Activities for this year’s event include Digital Literacy, The Crystal Maze and Dance Central. All activities are being led by teaching staff from Woodham and will include refreshments throughout the morning.
Assistant Head Teacher Jon Tait said “As an Academy that recognises the important part that we play in the community, we are thoroughly committed to providing family learning activities. Events like this help to engage young people and their parents, providing a platform for positive partnerships”.
The event at Woodham Academy takes place on Saturday 16th March between 10.30 am – 1.00pm.
