Last week at Greenfield Arts we filled May Half term with some fantastic activities for young people and families. The focus of the week was preparing for this year’s Cutting Loose event, which will take place on Tuesday 15th July, 6pm at the Boating Lake.
We started the Half term with a creative session designing and creating faeries and boggles as puppets to get us thinking about the faeries and boggles that live in Aycliffe. Wednesday morning was spent creating a new installation for the Arts Centre foyer, hoping to give the King of the Faeries something to smile about! Local artist Jilly Greenwood led these fun sessions to a packed room of families and children, all of whom enjoyed the experience.
We finished off the week with a Mexican inspired day of Family Cooking sessions with Season to Taste.  Thank you to all the families and children who joined us, and to our fantastic team of artists and chefs for making it such a great week!
