Following the high level of bookings for this year’s “Festive Capital Express” Christmas themed day excursion train to London in November, Bishop Trains have announced three further day excursion trains which will be running from Newton Aycliffe railway station.
On Saturday 15th April 2017 the “Easter Eggspress” excursion train will leave the town for Liverpool and will offer around 8 hours in the city, on Saturday 17th June 2017 the “Lincolnshire Explorer” will give passengers the choice of either visiting the Cathedral city of Lincoln or the popular seaside resort of Skegness, the trio of excursions is rounded off with the “2017 Festive Capital Express” which will visit Edinburgh on Saturday 18th November.
David Million, Business Partner for Bishop Trains commented “ticket sales for our first excursion train to London in November have been very encouraging, with less than 20 seats now remaining in standard class, many passengers are travelling with us for Christmas shopping or to visit the Winter Wonderland event in Hyde Park. Next year’s excursions are on sale now and full details can be found on our website”.
All of the excursion trains will call at Bishop Auckland, Shildon, Newton Aycliffe and Darlington and offer both standard class and first class seating, a meal service of breakfast and dinner is also available.
Full details of all excursions can be found at www.ba-rail.co.uk/excursion-trains. Bookings can be made online via the website, at Bishop Auckland station ticket office or by telephone on 01388-661394.
