This season’s Gallery Programme at Greenfield Arts is now available showcasing lots of wonderful work from local artists of all disciplines. We begin with a joint exhibition by Sharron Bates and Alexa Batty who are both textile artists. Sharron works with silks and recycled fabrics and has a background in illustration creating wonderful imagined spaces, whereas Alex is a surface designer and mixed media artist who is influenced by Polish Folk Art. Both coming together to create a space for escapism.
We also have our annual Open Art exhibition – featuring a fantastic range of work from across the local area! This exhibition always provides a superb range of work in different media and contains a range of subjects.  It is an excellent opportunity for artists who aim to sell their work, would like to promote their work for commissions, or simply would like to be inspired by the work of others. Please contact us.
Other artists featured this season include Chris Carr is an artist who works in pastel and acrylic creating landscapes, many of which verge on the surreal. For Chris it’s about the overall effect and feeling. Again Rosi Thornton, who runs our Re-Jig sessions on a Monday night, has turned the focus on her own work to look at the memories she finds in the materials she uses. Contact us for information about the Re-Jig textile sessions.
We also offer the SHED facility which is a creative hub space for artists, who can pay a one off membership fee and use the various facilities on offer to develop and produce their own creative work for sale or display.
If you would like to find out more about any of the exhibitions or how you can display your own work in the gallery please check out our website www.greenfield-arts.co.uk, contact Greenfield Arts on 01325 379048, info@greenfield-arts.co.uk or pop in and speak to one of our team.
