Heighington Village Hall Association has been planning some very exciting events to be held in the village hall in the coming months.

They have decided to increase the number of ‘Refreshment Fridays’ this year, starting on Friday 3rd June in the half-term holiday. ‘Refreshment Fridays’ have proved very popular and the Association is sure it is because they offer delicious home-made food at very reasonable prices in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

They have also scheduled a season of exciting theatrical events, starting on Saturday 18th June at 7.30pm when the Library Theatre Touring Company will perform Alan Bennett’s iconic 2 ‘Talking Head’ monologues; ‘A Lady of Letters’….. and ‘Bed Among the Lentils….’.

On Saturday 10th September they will be staging ‘Happy Jack’ by renowned playwright, John Godber, and ‘The Kingfisher’ by William Douglas Home will be staged on Saturday 19th November.

‘My Brilliant Divorce’ by Geraldine Aron will be coming to the village hall in February or March 2017.

Heighington village hall will be playing an important role during the Heighington Fair on 11th and 12th June to celebrate the Queen’s 90th Birthday.

In October there will be the regular craft market and in December the village hall with be at the centre of the Heighington ‘Switch-On’, when the lights on the village Christmas tree are switched on together with others around the green. This will be followed by carol singing and mulled wine and mince-pies together with other entertainment. A great start to the seasons festivities.
