Arrangements are gathering pace for the Aycliffe Festival, Week from 3rd to 12th July replacing Great Aycliffe Show.
The Festival will be filled with a whole range of exciting local community events, including family fun days, open days, coffee mornings, a brass band concert, sports competitions, dance displays and a science event, all aimed at involving children and adults in a ten-day community celebration in venues throughout the Parish, with something for everyone.
The Town Centre will also be hosting live performance events on Saturday 4th and Saturday 11th July, with further details to follow. Any community groups interested in taking part on either of these dates should contact Marie Robinson at the Town Council Offices.
Any organiser who would like to hold an event during the Festival period may apply for potential financial assistance, if it is needed, from the Town Council.
The closing date for applications is 31st March, although it may be possible to complete any required additional paperwork after this date.  The Festival Co-ordinator, Marie Robinson, is available at Great Aycliffe Town Council Offices to discuss any ideas for events, or answer any queries.
