Dear Sir,
I was at the Town Centre park last Sunday afternoon and on my way out at around 4pm there was a group of six individuals, a mix of English and Romanian adults who were very drunk and boisterous, drinking alcohol.
As a young woman with two very small children I felt scared, intimidated and anxious having to walk past them to get out of the park.
The park was full of families with children so I know I won’t be the only one who finds it completely unacceptable for this type of behaviour to be allowed in a public place, used by families and children.
Why weren’t they removed? Why was this allowed to happen in one of the nice places we have to take our children on a Sunday afternoon?
It is not a good example to set to our children and puts people like myself and also children that have gone to the park on their own in a very vulnerable position when this should feel like one of the safest places on the town, especially with the  security presence.
I have sent a letter of complaint to the Council and urge others to do the same.
