Dear Sir

I was walking my Jackawawa into town and as I got to the car park near Bewick Crescent my dog was eating something off the grass verge and it was big chicken bone recklessly discarded by someone.

I managed to remove most of it from his mouth as it is very dangerous. People are not aware of the danger of chicken bones if they get stuck in an animal’s throat it could lead to a very costly Vet bill and could also cause a dog to choke to death!

I’ve also noticed chicken bones been thrown out around the Simpasture area and Beechfield.

Please do not throw bones into street or grass areas.

Miss G. Bowes
