Dear Editor,
Can I take this opportunity via your newspaper to pass on a good new story to go with the season we are in.
Last Thursday I was privileged to join Dorothy Bowman for my first of many Christmas lunches sharing the meal with me were about 10 people from her New Pathways Together dementia group.
The venue, the cafe within DISC, ably run by ‘Members of More’  run by Mel and her staff of volunteers who not only run the cafe but operate the furniture help scheme The venue was my first but will not be the last. The staff were all so helpful and served with a smile on their faces and friendly chat. The pate was one of the best I have ever tasted. Five veg, pigs in blankets, stuffing, turkey and ham. Who could want for more. I am not sure if the price was concessionary or not but was excellent value for money. Not the Ritz but pound for pound excellent value. Oh and did I mention the Christmas Pudding and White Sauce, to die for.
