As part of our Diamond Jubilee celebrations, all of the nursery children were invited to create a picture of the Queen.
They could paint, draw, colour, collage, sculpture, even ice a cake, in fact be as creative as they like as long as they created a picture of “The Queen”.
We had some fabulous entries including the Queen’s portrait made out of stamps; and out of red, white and blue dots. We had several cakes iced with pictures of the Queen. Several children made collages of the Queen, one even came dressed as the Queen!
The entries were judged by Miss Hemmings. The winners were Jack and Cadence in morning nursery and Sophie and Evie in afternoon nursery.
All the winners received a Great Britain colouring book and a box of colouring pencils.
The judging was followed by a Jubilee picnic in the garden. All the children wore red, white and blue.
We would like to say thank you to Jack’s Mum and Kenzie’s Mum who baked some beautiful cakes for us to enjoy.
We would also like to say a big thankyou to Logan’s Grandma for baking an amazing Diamond Jubilee cake for our Royal Banquet.
