The team of Sedgefield Dental Practice were in full swing at Sedgefield Medieval Fayre on Saturday 17th May. The practice was there to promote National Smile Month, the UK’s largest oral health campaign and to promote three key messages:
• Brush your teeth for two minutes twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste • Cut down on how often you have sugary foods and drinks • Visit your dentist regularly, as often as they recommend.
The aim of the month long campaign is to ultimately improve the dental health of the nation.
The team raised the awareness of the importance of diet on oral health and had many freebies of smiles on sticks, balloons, pens and sugar free sweets to hand out to all of the many people who attended. There was also an amazing prize draw where a life size bear was the prize.
The winner of the bear was Max Wanless. We hope that Max and his mum were able to get the bear home safely!!!
