A coffee morning aimed at raising awareness about dementia is being held on Friday 19th May from 10:30am at Rose Lodge care home, Carers Way, Cobblers Lane. The event is being held as part of Dementia Awareness Week 2017, which this year runs from 14th-20th May. During this week the Alzheimer’s Society is asking people across the UK to unite against dementia. Dementia is set to be the 21st century’s biggest killer. But awareness and understanding remains low and many families are facing it alone.

Dementia Awareness week aims to encourage people to come together and take action by raising awareness, as well as offering help and understanding, to help those living with the condition and their family members. Refreshments and a selection of cakes will be served. Everyone is welcome to attend. For more information call Diane Tweddle, Activities Co-ordinator at Rose Lodge, on 01325 271301.
