The next meeting of the Newton Aycliffe fans group is on Wednesday 17 June at 7pm in the Iron Horse. If anyone has any points they would like to raise, but can’t attend the meeting, then please get in touch by email dfcaycliffefans @outlook.com or via twitter @dfcaycliffefans. All are welcome to these meetings and we welcome new faces and ideas.
Since the last piece we’ve had a naked picture of the squad in 442 magazine and two new signings in Adam Nowakowski from Harrogate Town and Kevin Burgess (Whitby). A big hello to these two but its farewell to Nelson Mota and Mark Bell. Mark has signed for Bishop and I’m sure we all wish him the very best for his future.
Season ticket prices were announced this week. £210 for adults, £125 for concession and £45 for children. Matchday prices are £10 (adults), £7 (concession) and £4 for children. Children under 5 get in for free, which is good news for my little girl. So far we have sold 627 season tickets and the Club are giving those fans who haven’t got theirs yet the opportunity to pay in two instalments (1 July and 1 August) but must be paid in full by August 7.
Work has, at time of writing, yet to begin on Blackwell Meadows but the site has had a £145, 000 investment from Sport England to develop the car park and the changing rooms. It does, however, seem as though we won’t be moving until September/October time.
Good news about Graeme Armstrong who is out of hospital and back on the road to recovery after his operation to repair his fractured spleen. It seems unlikely he’ll be playing any competitive football until the end of July but it’s great to know he’s doing well.
Keep the faith.
