Dear Sir,
I invite you to take your evening suits and ball gowns out of the cupboard and join me at this year’s Mayor’s Ball on Friday 17th October in the Central Hall, Dolphin Centre in Darlington.
I hope you will all come along to let your hair down, have a great time whilst at the same time support my two charities, The Recovery Centre, Catterick and the Butterwick Hospice, Young People’s Unit.
This year’s Ball promises to be a good one, welcomed in by the Durham Music Band.
We have a great local group called “Band Nightshift” plus  a few young musicians ready and keen to perform. Phil Crumby, a Frank Sinatra/Dean Martin type singer will keep us entertained through our meal with his lovely laid-back voice.
We have an incredible young magician, who lives locally and he will astound you. Black Jack and Roulette tables will be available for the more adventurous plus other bits and pieces for us all to enjoy, and not forgetting a scrumptious dinner.
Costs have been kept down to £50  – the same price for a number of years – still expensive some may say – but compared to other Mayor’s Ball’s, cheap and worth every penny.
All money made on the night will go to two very good causes.
If you plan to bring a group each table will be set out for ten people. Tickets can be obtained from Sue Minto, Dolphin Centre 01325 388410
Darlington Mayor, Gerald Lee
