Peter Sixsmith addressed the small but interested group at the opening of the DAFT photographic exhibition in the Library last Friday.
He outlined the three areas covered: the Northern Football League (second oldest in the world after the English Football League); the Auckland & District League and the history of Newton Aycliffe Football Club.
NAFC currently competes in the Northern League and had previously played in the Auckland & District League.
The exhibition will remain open until Monday 15th July.
