And on Sunday, 7 April, there will be belly laughs galore, with a 1980s Comedy Double Bill featuring Caddyshack (15) at 6pm and Airplane (12A) at 8pm.
The 1980s remains the era of choice on Sunday, 5 May at 6pm, when daring navy pilot Pete Mitchell takes to the skies once again in Top Gun (12A).
This will be followed by the comedy horror film An American Werewolf in London (15) on Sunday, 2 June, at 6pm.
Robin Byers, manager of the Gala Theatre, said: “Our Classic Cinema Studio not only allows people to enjoy the blockbusters of the past on the big screen, but it introduces a new generation of film fans to pictures they may not have encountered before.
“It’s about nostalgia and celebrating films that have shaped the industry.”
Tickets for each screening cost £5 including a free tea, coffee or soft drink. There is also a special offer for the 1980s Comedy Double Bill, allowing cinema-goers to see both films for £8.
