Dear Sir,
Following last week’s letter about cruelty to hedgehogs, about 2 months ago a youth, well under the influence of drink, decided to use a hedgehog as a football to the side of our house. When challenged his reply was “well it was there”.
What a sad society we live in when these harmless creatures, who cannot run away, are treated in this manner. We feed them and encourage them into our garden to keep the slug population down.
How would these mindless people feel if they were treated the same way?
