Credit Union volunteers, Councillors and officers met today to mark the move of the Credit Union from St Clare’s Church into a room next to the Library. It is an accessible, professional, private location, which hopefully people will find attractive.
The Credit Union is ethical banking – with mutual returns and low-interest loans – and we need to do all we can to support it, as it battles to help people avoid scandalously high interest-rates from payday lenders such as Brighthouse and Wonga.
