LEADING craft supplies company, Crafter’s Companion, is inviting its customers to celebrate its 11th birthday during a special ten-day event at its flagship store in County Durham. The birthday celebration, which will run from Thursday 20th October until Sunday 30th October, includes a host of events and special offers to thank customers for their ongoing support. Throughout the week a variety of mixed media, sewing, papercraft, interior and haberdashery workshops will be led by the in-store team. There will also be a special colouring workshop on Friday 21st October to celebrate the official launch of the Spectrum Noir Illustrator products. Sara Davies MBE, who founded Crafter’s Companion in 2005, said: “This year has been absolutely incredible for us so far. We’ve opened our first ever retail outlets, moved our headquarters to Newton Aycliffe, taken on 45 new staff, moved our US office and warehouse to Santa Ana, launched a new website and I even got an MBE. It really has been a whirlwind. “We celebrate the anniversary of our very first product – the Enveloper – every year and 2016 is set to be our biggest birthday week yet. “We’ve been so humbled by the support we’ve received from the local community and of course our loyal crafters and this event is really about saying thank you. We hope people will come along, get involved with the workshops and have some fun!” The birthday events will run between 10am and 4pm each day.
