The charity decoration, which is a first for Crafter’s Companion, is a purple stocking filled with crafty tools and essentials. For every decoration sold, £1.75 of the £5.99 retail price will be donated to the children’s charity, The Bradley Lowery Foundation.
Since it was founded, the Bradley Lowery Foundation has raised more than £3million for dozens of poorly children; established a dedicated support line for the families of children with cancer; donated over £200,000 to researching childhood cancers; campaigned for new drugs to be introduced in the UK and has plans to build a holiday home in Scarborough.
Sara Davies, who is the patron of the Bradley Lowery Foundation, said: “Earlier this year we named the Bradley Lowery Foundation our charity of the year and our CSR team planned a range of fundraising activities to support the organisation. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, none of these events have been able to go ahead. So many charities have been affected by the challenges of this year, and we wanted to do something special to show our support of the foundation. We thought a Crafter’s Companion-inspired Christmas decoration would be the perfect way to raise some much-needed funds for the charity and hope that people love the stocking as much as we do.”
Gemma Lowery, founder of the Bradley Lowery Foundation and Bradley’s mum, said: “Christmas is always a difficult time for our family since Bradley went with the angels, so it’s more important than ever that we help as many families as we can, to preserve Brad’s legacy. We’re so grateful to our patron, Sara Davies, and the team at Crafter’s Companion for creating this lovely decoration which will help us to deliver more support for poorly children and their families around the UK.”
