The Town Park and the Youth Centre was the focal point for a number of activities for young people last Thursday. The full day event was organised by the County Council to inspire youngsters to take up new pastimes by bringing in experts from the region to demostrate skills.
Dancing, acrobatics, skate boarding, climbing and learning to play baseball with the town team “Spartans” was available. Sadly the weather interfered with the programme, but the Youth Centre gave cover to many of the activites and the day proved to be successful and enjoyable for all concerned.
