Sir

I would like to inform you that I will be seeking advice of a solicitor regarding the statement from A Chandran made in your newspaper weekending Friday, 31st August, 2012.

Maybe Mr Chandran would like to clarify his statement with some evidence which would go a considerable way to resolving this issue he seems to have with myself.

It seems to me that Mr Chandran is doing the same thing as the statement made by Rita Taylor from the Sedgefield Constituency Labour Party on the 4th July 2008 where she suggested that Independent Councillors had joined forces with the right wing BNP Party.

I would like to remind Mr Chandran that Rita Taylor made an apology in a letter from the 15th July 2008 over her statement made in the Newton News.

Would Mr Chandran send me any evidence he has so I can clarify this once and for all.

P Ducker.

Questions to be Answered

Sir,

I thank Cllr Paul Ducker, the Leader of the Great Aycliffe Independents on Great Aycliffe Town Council for his feeble response. I have provided Newton News with a photo of the Eviction Notice by Livin,  that appears in the window of Cllr Ducker’s former flat in Neville Parade.

I don’t think there is any dispute about its contents. I took the photo myself with witnesses present. I understand he has arranged to have his Council Agendas, Minutes and Reports posted to his sister’s address in Hartlepool, where he now resides.

As for the solicitor’s threat from Cllr Ducker, I await this with baited breath, on second thoughts I can’t hold my breath that long. He will get no apology from me and I would, just ask these simple questions. Are you still claiming your allowance from where you now reside in Hartlepool?  Do you intend to attend Council meetings? Are you still Leading the Great Aycliffe Independents from Hartlepool? Do you intend to tell your electorate in Neville Ward where you live or how to contact you? The public have a right to know your answers. Is it your intention to claim your allowance until you are thrown off after 6 months for non attendance?

My advice to Councillor Ducker on Saturday 28th July, when last we spoke, was to resign cleanly and honourably – it’s not too late.

See you in Court – I dare you!

Arun M Chandran
