Bishop Auckland Music Society is delighted to announce its concert series for 2016. Once again musicians of international standing will be bringing a rich variety of classical concerts to entertain in the Throne Room at Auckland Castle.
Ranging from The Villiers Quartet, (violins and cello) playing Beethoven and Mendelssohn, to tuba player Ross Knight with a wide-ranging repertoire; The Ellis Ensemble, (clarinet, bassoon and piano), performing a medley to include works by Elgar, Glinka and Bruch to The Acacia Duo (harp and flute).
The series culminates with Schubert, Ravel and Debussy performed by the dazzling pianist, Mami Shikimori.
