A new ‘Community Pod’ is available for groups and organisations to use to promote their services and activities to visitors at the Pioneering Care Centre. The pod is ideally located next to the reception in the Mall of the Pioneering Care Centre and it is available to book, for free to organisations aiming to improve the health and wellbeing of the local community.
Carol Gaskarth, PCP Chief Executive said “The aim of the ‘pod’ is to promote health and wellbeing and to encourage participation in local activities to improve lifestyle.
PCP’s mission is to improve ‘health, wellbeing and learning for all’. We envisage the pod showcasing the activities of local clubs and associations as well as raising awareness of health campaigns and providing a market place of information.”
If you are a local group needing to generate funds or publicity why not enquire? The pod area has a good sized table, chairs and electricity points. It’s available throughout the daytime, evenings and a Saturday morning.
The pod has already been used to promote the Wellbeing for Life service and to generate funds through the sale of cards and scarves for Hope for Justice, who help people who have been trafficked into the UK. Upcoming bookings also include Cancer Research, Alopecia Awareness, a Growing your Community plant sale and a Type 1 Tea Party!
