The Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP) has added a variety of community learning courses to their long list of activities.They are an ideal way to learn a new skill, discover a new hobby or improve confidence and self-esteem. Plus it’s a great start in longer-term learning opportunities or employment.
Story Sacks
If you’re a parent, grandparent or someone who cares for children, this course will be of interest to you. PCP is running a 5 week ‘Story Sack’ course at the Community Shop, next to the Post Office in the Town Centre.
Story sacks can capture a child’s imagination and support their learning and development. The 5 week course starts Thursday 25 April 10am – 12noon and costs £22 or free if you receive JSA or other benefits.
Introduction to Paediatric First Aid
Held on Thursday 2 May from 9.00am – 4.30pm at a cost of £16.10 (or free if you receive JSA or ESA).
The course is designed to help you assess and gain understanding of an emergency situation, how to act safely and effectively and how to provide first aid for an infant and a child.
