Christmas is fast approaching so we would like to give you notice of our annual Memorial Service. Although we think about our past loved ones often and, who are always in our thoughts and prayer’s it is lovely to have a time of quiet reflection at the busy time of Christmas when we can remember our love for them in a special way.

On Sunday, 3rd December there will be a Parish Memorial Service for ALL who wish to come along to St. Clare’s Church in the town centre at 3.00pm to hold our loved ones before God.

There will be the opportunity to join in with some Carols and prayers, and also to light a candle in remembrance of those who have passed on in previous years, as their names are read out. As in other years, we will also have stars for you and your children to write a special message on and hang on our Advent Tree in the church. There is no cost for any of these but there will be a collection box for you to give a donation if you would like to.

The memorial book in the church library room will be on display, and if you would like your loved one’s name placed in this book there will be a form to fill in. The total cost for this is a one-off payment of £25.

After the Service please stay for light refreshments in the choir vestry, and there will be a chance to chat about any problems you are facing concerning your bereavement. To allow plenty of time to place your loved one’s name on our sheet please do come along early as we usually fill the church up very quickly.

If you would like any further information please contact Revd. Elizabeth Bland on 324622 or Pam Lovelass 316841.
