Dear Sir, Once again I write to express my disappointment that Christmas celebrations have begun in our Town Centre just before November 11th when we pay sombre respect, on that day, to those who gave their lives for us and our country in wartime. Could we not hold back Christmas lights and decorations until after we have recognised this time of remembrance?

N.S. Editor: This is one of many complaints received which we hope the owners of the Town Centre will note. If they cannot change their schedule perhaps the organisers of the November 11th small Service could move it to the War Memorial. It would be more appropriate and complement the large Parade that precedes or follows the actual day.
