Greenfield Arts are delighted to announce their latest exhibition ‘Childhood Memories’. The collection showcases the fabulous work of skilful artist Gary Smith.

Gary’s work is based around childhood memories. The games that were played and the stories told. At the time there were no computers or mobile phones and this exhibition is a reflection of how ‘play’ has changed. “We kept ourselves busy by looking for adventures, and on every journey we ventured further away from home” said Gary. The artist mainly paints in oils using varying tones and shades of grey to convey a sense of times past and pleasant memories from when he was a young boy.

The exhibition will run from Thursday 13th September to Wednesday 3rd October 2018 and is the first exhibition since the recent refurbishment of the gallery. The exhibition also fits perfectly into the season of ‘play’ at Greenfield Arts and we are privileged to host this wonderful collection of work.

The gallery is open from 10:00 to 21:00 from Monday to Thursday and 10:00 to 16:00 each Friday.
