honest john webPermanent Stall in “The Cubby”

Dear Sir

Along with the many supporters of “Honest John’s” Fundraising Stall, I need worry no longer about its future.

A huge thank you to Syd and Paul Howarth from Newton Press who have helped and advised me. They paved the way for Councillor Bill Blenkinsopp to come to my rescue and also offer a permanent stand in ‘The Cubby’ as well as storage space for the many items I have to sell, thus ensuring my weekly Tuesday market stall will continue.

I would like to thank Bill Blenkinsopp who has shown true support for the stall which raises much needed funds for organisations and clubs in the Newton Aycliffe area. Without Bill and The Cubby Committee, I would have to close down. The Cubby space was offered free of charge, but I will include them in my future fundraising to help maintain this superb drop-in facility for the town and its visitors.

I also record special thanks to George and Maud Gray for their kindness and concern during this period of uncertainty; to NAJFC Under 16s, Colin, Linda, The Lads and Kaley; Valerie (for putting up with me); Roger (for being a good friend); Les Gibson; and everyone who make donations or purchase goods, enabling us to continue helping many deserving causes; my cat, Charlie (for just being there), and again, Syd and Paul Howarth and Bill Blenkinsopp along with the committee of The Cubby for coming to my rescue.

Honest John
