During week starting 9th October rubbish and recycling bin collection days will change for some households in Sedgefield, Teesdale and Wear Valley areas. We are making changes to streamline collection zones and make our bin collections more efficient. Affected properties will shortly receive a letter, by post, with a revised collection calendar. What are the changes? Some properties will experience a change in collection day, while some will see a change to their rubbish/recycling week. Other properties will have a change to both the day and cycle week.
The change only applies to rubbish and recycling collections. Garden waste (Council and Rotters’ scheme) is not affected. Residents are advised to continue to place their bins out for collection on their normal collection day until the changeover takes place during week starting 9th October.
