Dear Sir,
After reading your article “Blind Son expected to cut grass” I felt I had to contact you.
I was shocked to read that the person is receiving the benefits that are required to qualify to have the grass cut but isn’t receiving the service.
I would like to offer my services. My name is Jolene and I am 15, I attend Greenfield school and I would be happy to cut the grass for the person free of charge as I feel strongly that they have been let down. Jolene.

Editor: We have received a letter from the local Baden Powell Scout Group, another student, an unemployed man, and an active pensioner with the same offer. The lady does not live in Newton Aycliffe and wrote to Newton News as she does not have a local newspaper.
It is nice to know we have people who care in our community.
