Aycliffe Town Centre Management has once again given Great Aycliffe Cancer Support Group the use of the Community Shop for a week.

The shop will open on Saturday 11th May, which will be a bit of a family day with Hot Dogs for sale as well as serving refreshments, cakes and Face Painting etc.

The shop will then be open Monday 13th May until Saturday 18th May from 9.30am – 3.00pm.

For sale will be clothing and Bric-a-Brac in good condition or new. We also will be showing off the new Chemo Bags that are handmade by our Cancer Patients. The group were featured on ITV Tyne Tees News recently giving out these special bags to a local hospital.

On Wednesday 15th May we will have the Cancer Awareness Team from the PCP coming down to talk to anyone who has any questions regarding screening programmes and symptoms, and also we will be asking other Cancer Services such as Welfare Rights to attend.

Money raised during this week will be used to pay for the free services we provide our members, such as patient transport, respite breaks and social outings.

Great Aycliffe Cancer Support Group would like to thank Bryan Haldane at Aycliffe Town Centre Management for helping and supporting our charity, he has been amazing with us for the last 3 years.
