On the back of a successful second season, Eleven Arches, the production company behind ‘Kynren – an epic tale of England’, is already planning its third season, and the recruitment of new volunteers begins.  Kynren’s phenomenal success is due to the involvement and commitment of members of the community who comprise the cast and crew, the ‘Archers’; individuals who invest their time in the professional training and rehearsals demanded by a world-class production, who in return gain a sense of achievement, new skills, new friends and a community spirit which makes participating in the show such a magical experience.

For 2018, Eleven Arches is organising its recruitment drive through ‘Open Call’ sessions where anyone interested in joining as a volunteer will learn about all volunteering opportunities and meet members of the cast and crew, including the animal stars, to glean a sense of what being an ‘Archer’ can offer. The first of these Open Calls will take place during the day on both 9th and 16th September as the team gears up for the final two performances later each evening. These four Open Calls will include the exclusive opportunity to go behind the scenes while the site is still fully functional. Open Calls will take place from 10am to 11.30am, and 12pm to 1.30pm on both 9th and 16th September. There is no need to sign up, just arrive on site 10 minutes before the session that suits you.  You will be able to park on site, from where it is a 5-minute walk to The Clubhouse where the Open Calls will commence at 10am and 12pm promptly.

As the Open Calls include outdoor visits, come prepared with comfortable footwear and outdoor clothing. The session is open to members of the public of all ages, although to participate in next year’s show, children must be 5 years old by 30th June 2018. If you are unable to make these dates, Eleven Arches will be hosting other Open Call sessions after the season closes, where you will be able to drop in and chat with existing Archers from each team; all dates will be published in September on the Eleven Arches website www.elevenarches.org The final performance of Kynren 2017 take place on 9th and 16th September, beginning at 8.00pm and concluding at 9.30pm.  Tickets are available from £19 child/£25 adult and may be purchased on line at www.kynren.co.uk
