Three local men have put their heads together to help the people on the town who may be struggling financially through Universal Credit or may need to use the food bank because of sanctions.

Tom Carroll – founder of Fishing with Tom, a charity set up to give coaching and life skills to disabled and disadvantaged young people.

Brian Agar – founder of TBA Coaching, which was a football coaching programme for disabled children and adults.

Neville Jones – Who is best known on the town for J&C Coaches and also for his hard work through his charity “Community Spirit”, whose name we hijacked and tinkered with to come up with CSI Aycliffe; which we hope you will find catchy, useful and easy to remember.

The idea behind this project is to help the people of Aycliffe in a positive way with cheap goods and free items. We are still in our infancy but if it continues the way it is going it will be a positive solution for locals.

We will be holding a sale at the Scout Hut, Burnhill Way on Monday 2nd December, open from 10am to 4pm. Most items priced at 25p with some 2-4-1 and some freebies.

There may be a small section of larger items which will be priced to clear – so first come first served.

Money raised will help local people struggling in these times of austerity, so please come along and show your support.
